I think this is genuinely one of the best stories I've seen in a vn or even just in general, the depiction of the characters and even the dynamic with the narrator is soooooo I don't even know how to describe it in words, I love it!!!
this is definitely going to end up one of my favorite vns of all time and up there with stories that are near and dear to my heart :,]
10/10 experience and read... I was so convinced it was gonna be toxic yuri partway through because I hadn't read the full itch io page before playing (I've just been browsing yuri games in the dead of night again because it calls for me...), but I was pleasantly surprised with the direction it went--not that I don't love toxic yuri, quite the opposite actually!! this was just also a wonderful story direction that felt like it had so much love and care put into it!
overall the art, writing, and even the music (which I'm not even sure was custom made for this project) all came together to make the perfect atmosphere.. this was my first introduction to the Wake setting and I'm definitely going to be checking it out myself after this :,,D
also the fact that this was made for a gamejam just makes this so much more impressive to me!
toxic to more toxic to heartfelt this was such a wonderful read !! like with ride home i love the life you give your characters and how the story is shaped by their incomplete perspectives. if not for being a chaser ivy'd have the perfect girl right here..
Hello, i'm Corinne, an italian freelance translator, trying to gain as much experience as possible and expand my portfolio. I really loved this game. I couldn't stop screaming giggling and kicking my feet the whole time; not only Goldthread and Alfalfa are sooo cute, but the framing of the story is also very interesting!
If you're interested, i would love to collaborate and translate Cuscuta into italian (even for free!). I've already translated three games, one of which is a VN so i already have experience with ren'py!
Absolutely incredible work, I adored the slow build up and the fun twists early on!
My heart has been warmed so thoroughly from this game despite the setting being so cold and wintery T^T
Goldthread and Alfalfa are so freaking cute I just can’t with them!! The framing of the story itself was also really cool and was such a fun way to switch perspectives.

I absolutely adored the “purely educational” proposal scene what a beautiful climax of emotions and how it circled back to Alfalfas biggest fears about violence and her impulses and the perfect zinger of that CG UGH It’s was all so well done.
this was so tender and loving! i have been talking a lot with a friend about how one of our favorite parts of character driven stories is when an author can successfully navigate the dance people do--where there's SO MUCH each person doesn't know, in turn leading to so many misunderstandings and just like, emotionally compelling disclosures that completely change the direction of the scene. but how, when it's a well-tailored interaction, it's stacked with it being these two, very flesh-and-bone compelling characters, interacting with each other and bringing out something in each other that only they can bring out. so you get this interesting dance of withholding and prodding, poking and pulling, that is so expertly on display during some of their first encounters in front of the fireplace. i kept being emotionally hit over the head with the realization "oh, she's just as lost as gold is!", "oh, she's just as desperate as alfalfa is!", through so many tears... easily my favorite part of a very wonderful visual novel. (second only to some of the harder/more toxic lines earlier on ^^) looking forward to more of your work, tabbie!
thank you so much for such a lovely comment! I'm really happy you liked it! I think that things that are unsaid, yet acted upon or reacted to, are some of my favorite things about yuri media so I'm endlessly glad that I was able to tug that thread successfully. the next one should be out in january! thank you so much for reading again ;;
